Try taking the back seat out

Rear of harness bolts up to seatbelt bolts in the back, take bottom half of seat out, bolt up harness, then put seat back in :)

use the holes where the seatbelts bolt up to, both front and back. install the eyelets and you're away.

the only one that might be shit is the one on the inside of the drivers seat, depends if the seatbelt anchor point in attached to the seat or the floor.

30 minute job... done.

The ways said above are not the correct way to install a harness, with them bolted down towards the rear seat they will actually cause greater injury then no harness at all.

In the event of an accident the harness will pull downwards on the shoulders causing spinal injury. The correct way is to bolt them to the parcel shelf or the taxi bar of a roll cage so the straps run horizontal.

ive seen quite a few cars down drags with harness bolted into seatbelts, why does ANDRA let this pass then?

correct I'm yet to put mine in my car but bottom two are going onto the back two front seat bolts, and then removethe cloth part of parcel shelf, drill two holes install eye bolts, put a small slit in the cloth just big enough to poke the eye bolt through, if installed as previously stated and u have a decent crash, the shock will cause a downward pull and your back will get hardcore fucked on, top harness straps should always go straight back, be it to a roll cage or parcelshelf or custom harness bar.

Hope this helps

pretty sure andra wont pass it going to the rear seat bolts, you have to have certain angle, to steep and she no pass. as vsclubby said, parcel shelf.

send dean (turbo4l) a pm as he his done somehow on the parcel shelf.

I have Takata harnesses and the install instructions say to put them into the old seatbelt bolt holes. there is a recommended angle for the rear sections of the harness, but i believe (in my car anyway) the using the rear seatbelt holes is well within that angle range. maybe CAMS and ANDRA have different guidelines... surely a widely used and race bred company like Takata wouldn't be giving dangerous install information...

just 2cents.

You arent seriously telling him to mount a harness eye bolt off the parcel shelf are you?

its only 1.6-1.9 mm steel there - if that. Ive seen people in wrx's do it and the spot welds have started to pull away from towers. safe!

its all about the angles, if you have a low seat, and a long way back to the rear seatbelt mounts it could be ok.
Ideally, you want a harness bar or rollcage at the C pillar.

Jump on the cams website and take a look at the photos there, you will understand the angles then.

I have mine going to the back seatbelt bolt holes but it runs over a taxi bar higher than my shoulders.

Another thing to consider, are you removing the normal seatbelt? If so do these cars have the explosive pretensioners that go off with the airbags?

http://www.camsmanual.com.au/pdf/10_gen_req/GQ10_Schedule_I_Q110.pdf

you can not have an angle greater than 40 degress therefore bolting them into the seat belt holes won't pass cams. Also unless you can put a nut on the eye-bolt its strength will be poor. so using the seat belt holes is a bad idea.

If you mount it to the parcel shelf you should use something like this

get a harness bar made up. any fabricator will be able to make you one. it connects from the top bolts of your front seat belts and bends back. google for pictures

Harnesses are super gay, and for posers. My rear strut bar goes through the loops on the end of the harness.
