looking for some first hand information on asi radiators. anybody had good/bad results with them. my tx3 has one and seems to get a tad hot even when running on the freeway. it seems quite new but has a front mount pushed hard up in front of it.

They are a product of China, often China parts are hit and miss but if you get a good cook they can work and for the price you can't complain. I bring over a small amount of China gear and it works fine, if you get stuck let me know.

Does it have a good shroud setup with thermos?
Here is a small thread here discussing them. They seem to be an ok unit.

Fair few people have the ASI radiators in our TX3s Nippy as they're the only full-size aftermarket option other than a custom job - they do seem to work well for everyone else though.

Heard of a few skyline guys quite happy with the asi stuff, their warehouse is located in melbourne, so warranty if needed isn't as hard as other ebay fronts.

Think you need to look a bit further Nippy, even with a single core rad a tx3 wont get that hot

in that case i guess the only other real thing it could be is the thermostat than.I was taking of the cooler pipes and radiator off and found the cooler pipe coming of turbo to intercooler was 50mm pvc pipe painted black and squished cown with to rubed couplers to fit it onto the turbo, so it would not suprise me if it was actually something dodgy that had been done is the past.

Don't think the shroud should matter as it gets hot even when driving down the freeway at night when the thermos are over powered by the natural air blowing thro it.
