Would anybody know where I can get a line pressure test done on my auto.
Gearbow is flaring during change from 2nd to 3rd, have been told by the guy who built I need to test the line pressure at idle and in drive while giving the accelarator a quick stab. Need to atach a pressure guage that can read up to 300 psi. Gearbox builder is in SA so thats why i'm doing the test here, hoping I dont have to pull the box and send it over there :( dont like my chances but. Have contacted a number of businesses but they dont have any thing that will read that high a pressure.

Considered getting a local auto trans specialist to check pressures?

^ Have called 3 or 4 and they said they cant do it, something about not having a guage to read 300 psi or they dont want to. I think I'll just buy a guage and do it myself, cant be that hard.

Do you have a trans temp gauge?
Maybe its getting a little hot
Probably best to do it yourself, then you have the gauge for next time (or when i need it)
I will find out tomorrow if i can get hold of one for you to use.
Sorry to hear your having problems, I hope its not a common issue:(

Fluid is ok :)
It is only doing it in 3rd and more so from 2nd up to 3rd, going from 4th to 3rd it changes ok, Jason noticed it was a little soft on the change when he got it back from mike, but it has gotten worse since I have had it.Mike has had me check a couple of things to try and sus it out before it gets to the point of sending it to him, line pressure test is one of them :)
