Engine Change

Hi Guys,

Got a mate looking to change the engine in his 88' Supra currently has a 2ltr twin turbo but is on its way out, and is looking for someone to recon the engine his picking up, its the 3ltr single turbo (7MGTE)

any idea's on best price/service around?

EDIT: he lives SOR so best looking around that area.

If he is doing the conversion why is he bothering with a 7m?

He's allready got the engine, its strapped for cash, basically current engines pretty much done, so he just wants to change out for the 7m he's got sitting there.

Your first post says he wants to recon the engine he is picking up ?

either way - he will also need loom and ecu.

To recon a motor like a 7m and get the head done properly is going to be a couple of grand at the least

If he has the motor - sell off 1gg and 7m add recon cost = aristo half cut
if he hasnt got it - money saved plus recon money and 1g money = aristo cut.

His choice naturally, if its sor and a toyota go see WTF auto.

Just saw Richard at XSpeed do a conversion the same as this although they used a 1JZ. Basically a drop in conversion if you have a front cut to rob from.

BTW... Just asked him why he didn't go 2J, he reckons 7M is straight swap but he will have to change running gear if he goes 2J.
