Is this intercooler to big

just wanting to know if any people out would be able to tell me weather a 400*300*75mm intercooler would be too large for my high flowed T2 turbo running standard 7psi. meaning would i loose power

I don't think you'd loose power but you might gain some lag. I'm not really an expert though.

yip, you *may* notice some extra lagg, also you will probably find that you turbo will work harder to make that 7psi.

read: pressure drop accross the core, i.e. you may have 7psi at the throttle body but the turbo will be pushing 10psi for example.

Ryan u rice chump! Get an intercooler that suits its purpose, ur currently running a snail the size of a tea cup, until u do a turbo upgrade buy a smaller intercooler and fuck doin all the front bar work.

talk to ET Pullstart about this. He had a s13 T25G on his Pulsar and fitted a cooler to it. He would be able to help you out.

yeh the 450 wide is fine, i have the bigga one on my car but i already have the T25 and have a bigga turbo goin on. The 450 wide is perfect for the T25G a mate has one on his works great should be little or no lag present. make sure u put a RB30 TB on it this cause issues if u dont. the original TB is WAAAAAAY to small for big boost.

yer i have already had the rb30 throtle body fitted man thats sik thanks for info so does your mates et have the stock front bar or after market because i have no room as it is for an intercooler, i think my thermal fans are gonna have to be moved

nah he has a jetpseed same as me just take out the crap fans and put some decent ones in i went for davies craig fans but if u dont want to spend that much there are heaps of cheaper ones around just they are noisier. generally the aftermarket fans are slimmer and fit behind the cooler.
