so this is my fd. in the final stages of getting rebuilt with all the shiny fruit.
list of mods is huge, but just to name a few:
massive bridgeport
garret t51r
hurley seals
bigger better radiator and intercooler
fuel reg
3 big ass fuel pumps and surge tank
gauges, controllers
microtech lt10s
super heavy duty triple plate clutch]
tein coilovers . . . that'll do
should be good for 500hp at 20 psi on pump fuel.
all done by lee sanders. champ!
heres some pics

*waits for fuel price to jump 3c/L due to supply shortage caused by thirsty rotors*
Looks like an awesome package, what times are you hoping for?

Looks hot aand should go hard as fuck.
One question, every second rotor I see has a Microtech, Do any decent ECU's work on rotors or are you stuck with Microtech as your only option?

ummmm people do use the power fc but microtech is more commonly used by most, and it was cheaper. with stock suspension and semi slicks ive been told mid 10's. My car is set up almost identically to sanders rx3. So thats going on his times.

Basically they are the easiest to adapt too the application of a rotary. Commonly used, proven results for the price.
If you want the best, the Motec, because they handle voltage changes easier along with being more flexible, but price is the issue unfortunately not many willing to tune them either :(
For standard good conditoin loom power FC is the easiest on a S8.

Youll have to be a bit brutal to get it off the line, but, with enough power and some pedaling youll get there :)

yeah cheers for the comments. i get it back this week, have to run it in but will post up a vid of a limited boost run. drove it for the first time on friday and it is braptastic:D
lees white FD with 410rwhp ran 11.1 as far as i know, not sure on the suspension set up but either way should have yourself a fairly ballsy and quick monster on your hands!!! sooo bombed!

Not really dude. You will find most of the pro turbo, pro compact rotors still run microtechs. A lot of people have tried Motec and swapped back.
Oh yeah, and very nice rotor! Glad to see you went to a proper workshop and setting the car up right the first time.

isnt his rx3 running over 800hp though? and through a jatco or something? still awesome car though, lee knows his shit when it comes to rotors!

top stuff, let us know when you are planning to go to a track any time soon, would be good to see its out an about.
The lebo tech vesus anything is a bit of a no brainer, but it fucking works and that's about all it needs to do

the thing is that rotary tuning in perth is limited, and the small select group that do it prefer microleb, as its all they know
powerfc can do nearly everythig the motec can do except 2 step and antilag etc etc, finally there are a couple of guys that will tune powerfc in perth now, years ago nobody wanted anything to do with it. I personally thing for easability and stability the powerfc cannot be beaten. Can speak from personal experience tuning my own car, its not that hard but there is alot to it and not for the faint hearted.
This thing should move! 500 hp at 20psi on pump fuel can be done, but it will be interesting to see how long she lasts, pump fuel is the enemy of the rotor. i wish the fuel here that you can get on tap (104 ron bp) was back home, rotors love boost with good fuel!

Heat is the enemy. If he gets 2x800 and 2x1600 injectors he will have the fuel and if he gets AI, will be no prob ramping up the boost.
