Mate i paid 8k for my vs ss about 5 years ago now. It had lowered springs and shocks, camber kit, cold air intake and k and n filter, full stereo upgrade, and full exhaust. Immaculate and the owners were struggling to sell it.

There are some very good deals around you just have to be willing to drive for them.

I ended up writing the car off, my favourite car i have owned.

No offense to your mate but you can get some good modified vt/vx ss's for that.

Cheers for the replies but yeah like stumpz said for that kind of money i'd go to a VT/VX or VS HSV... i know SS's have somewhat gone up a bit but not prepared to pay that much.

JME on SC forum has a VS SS with low comp 355 stroker etc for sale if you're keen, he's asking 11 I think will take 10 for a quick sale. plenty of money spent on it from what I've heard. He's down towards Albany
