Currently employed by a company that installs underground power cables. Unfortunately my employer is not in a position to offer me an apprenticeship. I've been working as an Accounts Manager / Payroll Clerk for the past 7 years and am keen to get out on the tools and gain a sparky qualification asap.

I've got good maths skills, sound computer skills and a good work ethic. I've been in the workforce since 1997 and have worked in a variety of industries from hospitality to mining. So I'm not a bludger straight out of high school expecting bulk $$$ for a slack attitude no productivity. I know being an apprentice involves doing the rough stuff no-one else likes but everyone has to start somewhere.

Any hook-ups or helping hands would be greatly appreciated, PM-away. If it leads to something positive there may be a $400 spotters bonus in it for you. Could be the easiest money you'll ever make.
Cheers, Greg.

Good luck man, I just managed to get myself in after looking for one for 4 months!

Only had 2 interviews out of 25 job applications! And failed both times because I'm going to be mature age this year..

Like cactus said give EGT a go but you might have missed the intake for this semester.

Yeah cheers, I was assuming it would take a couple of months to find someone who would take me on. I'm going to try EGT as suggested, they are doing monthly intakes at the moment so hopefully I can get in for March
