08 FG XR8

Hey all,

only new on here, Matt (RU16WA) put me onto the site.

i use to live here in perth but moved to QLD and now im back for a holiday with the FG XR8

i have a 2008 Ford Falcon FG XR8 with abit of work done to her and no where near finished. hehehe

2008 FG XR8 specs:
290kw -- 6 speed manual -- leather interior -- premium sound (6 stacker and sub) -- premium climate control -- Sat Nav -- Nitro (Blue).

Mods. 20'' XHP mig -- cams -- Xforce catback -- herrod headers and cats -- blue power air box -- SL front -- SSL Rear -- 50/50 Rear shocks.

Power -- 331.6RWKW on 98 tune -- 319.8RWKW on 95 tune --

thats exactly what i was thinking ls1 with cam are making around 260rwkw.

the new VE's SS 6L with a system and cam aare pumping out 330rwkw and can get more out of them.
we did a Boss 260 motor with the same cams as i have got in the FG and just pulled up at 300rwkw.
the power that you can get out of the falcons all really depeands on who tunes your car to a safe point.
there is more in mine but have to finish the 1050kw xr6 turbo thats in the shop before mine goes in.

as found on matt's fg, good power out of a stock fg xr8 hehehe.

Sounds like the dyno your using may be a little happy as they're are only a handfull of XR6T's that have just managed to get over the 600RWKW (800RWHP) hump... What workshop is doing the work on both cars & what dyno have they got?
Will be happy to eat my words if you can show me a timeslip from the drags that reads 118mph(give or take a mph) that your car has laid down though :D

the 1050 has me off the road for 2 years. it has the atomic 1050 motor in it. im not saying its going to make that at the wheels. we just call it the 1050kw xr6t coz of the amount of money, parts and time that has gone into the car.

with the fg i havent have a good run in it as i stuffed the bushers in the ass end and the center bearing. the last time i raced i got a 12.7 at 116mph.

ill have to wait untill i get home to get the dyno sheet and time slip for you all.

What cam you running in your XR8? 331kw is an awesome number haven't heard of many going that much over the 300rwkw mark though. The dyno seems to be a bit happy maybe?

the 3 year new car warranty dont bother me, some stuff can still be done under warranty but not evenything.

the FG 290 motors are putting out alot more then the BF 290 motors with work done to them.
