just run new power cord from battery to deck, make sure negative isnt loose nonoe of the speaker wire connections are touching the doors - metal ect.. youve got a loose connection somewhere.. just gota trial and error everything.. a wire twisted will work forever but if its next to soemthing else which it may bump here and there itl turn it off.. its gay i had to take all 6 speakers out then run new power new fuse nothing changed... checked the fucking negative.. it was touching abd bolted in with a teck screw into the boot.. just a tad loose and itll shut the amps power off.. check negatives first then power cable.. then trial by error until it stops...

gd luck

As Dufus said, check all the speakers.. When a speaker magnet hits metal, it cuts them all out. Does the deck turn off too? If it doesnt its got nothing to do with power/ground.

Was it fine for ages, then only started doing it?
Battery/alternator might be on the way out

If any speaker wire earths it'll cut out like that.

Could be one of many things:
*The loom behind the stereo earthing (twist & tape job?) hot weather releasing the wires.
*Pinched cable earthing, oem cables replaced & not protected/installed well?
*Speaker cable loose from terminal; earthing
*Bad earth to deck, check voltage with multimetre whilst playing at full volume.

If this was the case, the car probably wouldnt start. Doesnt sound like a power hungry system.
