Well as I have started doing some work on this I thought I might share my other car.

I purchased some time ago now the Prime Garage japan built Sil80.

For those of you that don't know it it was featured in an OLD HPI video.

I saw this car on this video many years back and to own it now is just a dream !

Some dyno tuning info.

Andy from hyperdrive has been tuning it for me. We did a safe tune for motorvation and this was the result.

On the dyno. Sound isn't very good as it wigs out the camera mic.

PS - Yes shibb owned this car for a short while.
PPS - No I won't say what i paid for it :)

Since I have gotten the car its needed a few repairs. It hasn't seen any love for a long time.

I have replaced the cam and front main seals. Plus did a fill 100k service with Gates timing belt and new water pump.

Whilst in there I found the balancer was in less then ideal condition.

So a Ross Racing balancer has been installed.

The braided fuel lines were all rubber and perished. Thus far I have been replacing with standard rubber lines. Unless I go teflon I don't really see the point.

What's the plans for this beast, considering you now have a dedicated (well close to) drag car?

Will this be focussed more on circuit track work, or even street duties?

Yer TJ, I heard that also. I do have a full service history / recipts from the time the car was imported into Aus. The only mechanical mods done beside tuning were new set of splitfire coils. Unless i crack it open we will never know for sure.

Plans for the car.

Immediate future I would like to give it a run at hi-tech titles(feb 13). So i recomend you pay attention if your going as it will if all goes well only do one full power pass :). Or it will fail terribly .... either way it will be a good show haha

The car is currently de-reg via a yellow. So the next plan is to rego it, the box and fuel system will have to come out for that. The box may find a new home, we'll have to see how it plays out.

From there not sure, maybe Andra, maybe street, decide when i get there.

The rolled lip on this car has the best finish I have seen to date, time to find out if its effective !

Hyperdrive got the balancer in for me. Was a good price.

Well its been a long day and its still going. Having a break now.

Nitrous has been removed to avoid ANDRA winge.
Passenger seat is out.
Drag slicks fitted to rims
Finally suspension and slicks fitted to car.

Still have to swap over drivers seat and fit in a harness but so far so good.

Wasn't sure how the slicks would look on this car, I think they came up ok :)

Yes I am looking at the option to Sell it.

Since having a family I am struggling to find time for bike, daily car and 1 race car, let alone 2 !

I do not need to sell this car but it is such a waste having it sit there doing nothing, so keen to see it go to a good home, a home it will be used!
Also not keen to be offered stupidly low $ for it. I may also look at the option to split it up down the track. So if your keen for the car as a whole this may be your one chance to own it.

I'll be up-front the gearbox is in need of an overhaul, it works fine driving around and under high loads but under full loads won't grab gears. The price will be discounted to cover an overhaul. If its an easy fix you score.

This is the spec I am currently looking to sell it as, contact me for price, please no dreamers, this is a very special car so expect to pay. .

Rego Wise it was registered over east and got a yellow sticker here in WA. So I can be registered. It also comes with the engineering paperwork, how ever valid it is.
Expect it to be a lot of work to get over pits. I can throw in the NA CA and box I was planning to rego it with :).
