View Full Version : Boat hook-ups?
Hi all,
A guy I work with has asked me to help him find an outboard motor for his 4.8m runabout.. he's chasing a 75ish HP 4 stroke, but is open to suggestions.
I still can't get over how damn expensive outboard motors are... anyone here have the hook-up, or know which direction to point me in?
Cheers :)

Yeah most of the time the motor is worth more than the hull - How much does he want to spend?
People don't usually upgrade outboard motors, so I'm always dubious of second-hand ones for sale.
Well the hull cost him $6k new with trailer (bargain!) and the outboard is like $13k from what he's been quoted so far.

For 13k you'd want it to include throttles/gauges too.
