got report tonight that ps3 has finally been hacked, apparently by a guy who's pretty savvy with the iphone:

he hasnt released any details and I'd say it will be at least 6 months before anything is viable for release. All he has hacked is the NAND and able to read/write to it and control the CPU. This is just the beginning...... Sony will work on software-based protections now (and they are one of the best at it)..... hopefully nothing like Bleem! comes out .... for those who remember its protection.

Nope, not even close.
For those really interested there was an article posted on IBM about four years ago that detailed the Cell Broadband Engine's processor security architecture.
