Find a nice vantage point up on the hills, around Kalamunda area. Went there few years ago, still gets a bit packed, but not as much as the foreshore.

Foreshore around bardon park in maylands is good, you just can't see the low level fireworks.
Very little traffic compared to city foreshore.

On the boat :) If you see a big mustang boat with a jetski on the rear hydraulic decking, that's us :) We might ride the ski in to shore to cook up a feed but will more than likely just use the rear stove on the boat so we don't need to see land til we park back up at the house and drive home.. Doddi's is a killer day, have had a few Aussie Day's down there, the best was probably when we drove our custom modified volvo down (chopped springs, chopped exhaust, no B pillars, chopped boot/back seat conversion to huge eski, pod filter out bonnet, big aussie flags down the sides, bonnet, roof etc) The car wasn't too aussie but we got it cheap so that's all we had to modify. Ripped a skid as we pulled in and cops towed it so we went to a house party down the road haha

Yeah did Doddi's the year before last. Great, great day. Drive a couple of 4x4's down onto the beach and crank some tunes. Smash abit of cricket and sink a shitload of piss. Never had cop trouble too which is good. If you see some fireworks go off, look directly below - I may or may not be standing there :)

Doddi's was the shit back in the day when the deli was open. I used to work at that deli until it closed when i was younger and fuck the amount of skids and fights i seen at that beach was amazing. The year the riot police came down was off the hook. Oregan did that burnout in his vn group a ss covered the whole beach in smoke then drove it home when the fighting started pissed in front of the cops. There was guys in hilux's with 20 people in the back doing skids on the road. it was a free for all.

I havent lived in mandurah since the dome has been where the deli was but i imagine the area has calmed down quite a bit.

It's calmed down heaps, no girls go there anymore. Fuck knows which beach they go to now, that used to be a solid investment of a Sunday. Even when I worked up north and had the whole week off you could drive there any week day and there would be fit girls *sigh*

We'll be pretty void of any agro this year, not sitting on the beach with the juniors and all.. Pretty guaranteed for cops to be there all day long, but they're very relaxed and let everyone have a good time, which is beaut

It's not same beach as last year, but close enough. I put a thread up about it last year and it got ripped down for fear that douche bags would ruin it so by all means go check it out, it's a fuckin' awesome day but expect the same crowd most of you bitch about at festivals, and respect the effort that's been put in at no cost to yourselves for killer entertainment all day long and well into the evening. :)

Killa day on the boat, found some crew on the beach who chose not to gig up @ freoish beach.. Met up with other mates on their Riv + wake boat + ski, sank booze, then headed home. Tranny 2 dropped after engine 1 dropped on way there so with some bow thrusters and anchor we kept the big girl off the rocks and towed her into the marina, will sort problems and clean this week (so many foot prints from jumpin off the roof). Got in the spa then hooked into Ninos fish n chips and now home smashin water ready to tackle work tomorrow. Hope Benz tore it up at the beach party for those who went!

Pretty well behaved at the sky-works. Worst thing I saw was on the train heading there - some absolute bogan fuck wearing a shit 10x too big for him with a bottle of Beam in his hand that looked ROOOOTTTTTEEEEDDDDD walking up and down the train drinking it, then having the nerve to mouth off at some asian guy who was trying to get his daughter out of his way.
