5) A packed lunch and snacks or $$ if you plan to stop somewhere for lunch.
6) Bring bottled water or something to drink as some of the challenges are physical.
7) Some spare change for Parking may be required if you want the advantage of not driving in circles trying to find a free park.

BEST DRESSED: There will be a bonus prize for the best dressed team. This could be co-ordinated with your team name, for example; If your team name is 'The Superheroes', you could all each dress as your favourite superhero. or 'Boys in Blue' you could dress as cops etc etc. Have a bit of fun with this. Maybe your name could be 'The Borats' and you can all wear Mankinis.

GENERAL INFO:
Similar to the TV show the Amazing Race, the amazing race themed cruise is a competition, NOT A ROAD RACE!!! Road rules are to be obeyed and legs will be timed, teams times will be recorded between legs and if you are found to be speeding you WILL be eliminated.
There is no set course, only set destinations/checkpoints for challenges and clues. You must find your own way to each destination/checkpoint.
There will be tasks that will need to be completed in order for you to receive your next clue.
The event is likely to take the majority of the day.
Teams must fill out the nomination form and sign the disclaimer and post to the address supplied on the form by the closing date so that the event can be organised around definite numbers.
This event is about having FUN, the prizes are just a bonus!

More info will be posted if and when I think of it, I'm sure I have probably forgotten to write something.

Mark your calendars and start organising a team!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have

Nice - these things take a lot of effort and can be a fuckload of fun.. I used to help run a a youth group once upon a time and we did something like this a few times a year.. great fun, running into dome and stealing sugar sachets or to the airport to grab a qantas pen can make for some embarrasing moments! And its day time as well! I think the torana - gbox leak pending will be out for this with a few bozos to help!!

Awesome event guys! Good Luck with the organising... I know what goes into these things!

Sorry, nominations have to be in beforehand so we can organise the numbers. I can't say why at the moment but you get the idea.

I asked a legitmate question after the organiser said they would base the time for each leg on the time it took for them to complete it. if you come in under that then it would be assumed that you were speeding and you would be eliminated. was hoping for some clarfication before making a decision to enter or not.

Yes mate.
Send the nomination to sileby@westnet.com.au but remember, each team member will have to sign the disclaimer on the day.

It looks as though there's a fair amount of interest. This chick - http://www.westcoastcruisers.com.au/Forums/index.php?/user/15-tritty/ is the one in charge of the nominations, etc. If you have any questions or concerns I can pass the message along.
