WAW pit access?

Hey guys just wondering how I can get access onto the strip to take photos?

My mate is racing on Wednesday and wants me to take a few shots with the DSLR but I'm not sure how I get in. Do I just rock up and say Im a photographer for him?

Bring your drivers licence.

When he is at the scrutineering shed, when he goes up to give them his drivers licence, you go up with him and say you want a wrist band for photos. You have to sign something and provide your drivers licence and you get a different coloured wrist band to your mate.

When his car goes up, just walk along side it through the opening where the cars do the skids, and you can get up along side his car when hes doing the skids and run.

When your mate goes through scrutineering you need to get a crew band. You sign the indemnity so you can get out into the 'hot' area. There you can take photos. Just don't do anything too silly like getting too close to the car or hanging around out there for ages.

Awesome! Thanks guys. One last thing, his brother and a few other guys are doin a few passes to so do I tell them I'll be taking photos for them too or is it once I'm in then I can shoot what I want?
