I've spent about 5 hours today trying to wire a double din dvd player in my 04 350Z.

Has anyone wired a stereo in newer Nissan's with factory amps?

I cannot find a wiring diagram for an Aussie car anywhere, and the US versions have different wire colours.

Any help at all would be awesome. Or if someone can recommend someone who might be able to help me before the end of the year that would be great!

are you trying to keep the factory amp in there to power the speakers or bypass it?

keep the factory amp, just replace the headunit

Jump on 350Z-tech.com or my350z.com. I cant access those sites at the moment for some reason, but to do it you need to buy a patch loom basically. Has something to do with the speakers/amp setup being all 2 ohm gear, from memory... (looked into it a few years ago when I upgraded my stuff).
If budget allows, just ditch the Bose crud all together.

thanks for that mate, ended up just testing each wire to find out what it did. Just wasn't thinking straight I think! Stock speakers and amp aren't too bad with the new head unit, think the stock head unit is the downfall of the system.
