I have had a quick google search but cant find much, but i presume, like the Jap gear, that buying stereo gear from overseas would simply require a convertor for the radio to work but everything else should be fine? Im in thailand and the stuff is pretty cheap here.
just looking for confirmation, cheers!

for a stereo to work you need to put in a band spreader its not hard .

you'll need a 15-25mhz band expander to get the FM channels to work.
Just remember that if you are buying no name branded stuff, its generally complete crap and will definitely fault on you within 3 months... if it works at all.
If you buy brand name stuff, once it leaves the country of origin (ie... Thailand) the warranty becomes null and void and most manufacturers here in Australia will not repair them under warranty and will charge you an unofficial "Grey Import Tax" on any repairs required.
I see it day in, day out... You get what you pay for in Car Audio.
