We ran a 9.8 at 116mph with a 1.3 60ft at the test n tune today. We ran it hard to half track at 115 mph then just cruised to the line. Unfortunately the radiator sprung a bit of a leak so we had to call it a day after one pass but the car is now licensed.

top work guys, great to see a gtr finally in the 9s.
I was speaken to my old man tonight and he said he was chatting to you smiley and dave for abit about the setup and mentioned you finally broke the 9 sec bracket. He was the one crewing for the funny car, and he said you guys were sayin its got a heap more potential yet going by the 116mph terminal speed.
Whens the next time out for the car?

Your old man seems like a good bloke and is one of many experienced guys involved with alcohol funny cars, top door slammers and supercharged outlaws that are interested in sport compact cars and offer there knowledge freely.
It should go a bit faster when he stays into it for the full pass but he just wanted to feel what it was like when the chute was pulled. The officials were happy with the pass and signed off on the license. We have another 15psi of boost to use so that should help with times. We want it to be running 8's reliably before we step it up next season with around another 400hp.
We wont be racing this weekend as we will probably need another radiator but we should be there for the next fast friday on the 11th.

Awesome time, especially at only 116mph. Congrats.
In the video it sounds like a full-track pass with the chute pulled just before the finish line though?

When you back the throttle off a bit it still revs on the converter just doesnt accelerate.

Was the 116mph with gas?
At the moment the nos is only used when the transbrake is on and rpm between 3000 and 6000rpm and throttle over 75%. Its just a 75 single shot to get it on the converter. Ive also setup 180hp direct port setup that will be used at a later date like after we wind the boost up and run out of turbo.

Hey i've spent a lot of time in the shed at night over past couple of years and i am also lucky to have chaps on my crew like Smiley and Tim to help get the finer details correct.
Felt good yesterday, straight and nice launch, really wanted to feel the chute come out , wobbled my ass a little but no biggy . Be interesting with bigger MPH.
It's now time to open her up a little more and get some predicted times out of her.
Just want to do the GTR versus GTR thing first and then some competition stuff later . Hey it's all about having fun and keeping me off the streets.
