Anyone know what getting a Vyss with cams, otr , throttle body upgrade and various other things dyno tuned would cost?
Recently go the car but it needs a tune.
Just wondering where would be best place and how much ?

Since mine is costing around $650

A cheap and basic tune is like $450-500 for only a 3-4hr tune, mitch from waperf does his ultimate tune somewhere round $850mark by memory and does a full day of tuning on it

Budget $1000 then you can't be shocked if it goes over. The more time you spend on the dyno the better the tune will be, but 9/10 the tune can be nailed in a day. From there it becomes very expensive for far smaller gains.

Keep in mind that a) He might choose to completely disregard your tune and build one himself up from scratch
b) your PCM might be locked and there will be an unlocking fee and a replacement PCM that's already unlocked required to be fitted (he generally has these at the shop)

Mitch is worth talking to in person to discuss your car. I had my car tuned there and without him being a full bottle on the engine build, specs etc he got it all up and running. Since then we've ironed out a few little things and the car is a dream to drive!

you will be charged for a full CAM mafless tune of the car.
no tuner in there right mind will touch up another tuners tune and the fact most tuners lock there tunes then the new tuner wont be able to retune it.
also cant touch up a tune if it was tuned with the opposing software used on the car currently.

so budget like AGIT8D said at $1K
thats a full Mafless cam tune

and yes it will take a day to tune it if u want it done properly.
there is not just a couple hours on the dyno but a couple hours on the road logging part throttle and the load on a dyno isnt the same as the load the car has on the road.

also being a cam with unknown specs will take a while to tune it as they cant just flash in a base tune they would have for whatever spec cam

also take into consideration that it will have to be there overnight to do some cold start loggin/tuning.

its all about getting the driveability right. its not hard to rev it to red line and tune it for WOT, its the stuff in between thats more time consuming and challenging and the most important as u spend 90% of ur driving at part throttle and not just straight to redline WOT

I have to agree, gather a bunch of places which are reputable and call them, speak to them and explain what you have and they will tell you everything you need

I think he was trying to fine tune a list by asking on here. Nothing wrong with asking who people would recommend for a tune. Some workshops will slap in a pretty standard edit, others are good at doing completely custom tunes. For a price though, obviously it's best to liaise with the workshop you've picked. And most importantly remember that you get what you pay for.
