Now that this great game has FINALLY came out, i would like to here lots about how far you've gotten already, what cars you have and just overall how you rate this game.

i started with a EVO 2 lancer, but soon upgraded to a 1990 R32 GTR N1 :boink:

This game is soooo awesome, dont expect to hear from me for the next few months, lol

Agreed munchmunch. It's kinda dissappointing on the whole game really IMO, especially after such a long wait, I expected much much more.

I went for a awd coz it would grip and acceperate threw corners better nex car i will go for might be evo or a 180sx, want to get my hands on that Hks s15, and my car s being tuned by hks aswell :)

I agree its a let down.

Expecting to much for the long wait.

Graphics changed FA really.

There is a lot more cars / tracks so thats a plus.

I think the main gain over gt3 is net play. Thats where its at I guess. So over time that will make it big :)

Still ... I wanted more ..

played it last night. theres slight differences in graphics, i mean theres only so much you can do with a system thats almost 6yrs old.

handling is bloody hard, hard on the brakes into corners sees plenty of understeer, the nose slams down and the weight shifting around corners causes some action powering out corners.

but other than that, its pretty good... could have done with meatier engine noises tho. The Nismo R32 GTR i drove around nurburgring* last night had awesome lag til about 4500 then huge turbo spool, pity it only had 390hp :0

gonna purchase my own copy today.

You all seem to be forgetting that GT4 is a "Real Driving Simulator"... not your everyday arcade game. The way the cars handle is going to be similar to the real thing. You all complain about the understeer of the vehicles... lets see your car hit a corner at 150km/h and go around it like its on rails...

For those of you that commented on graphics not being any better that GT3... i suggest you take a closer look. (i.e: reflections of other cars, trees, clouds on the paintwork of your car... attention to detail in the grandstands on all courses) A good comparison is to race on Midfield Raceway on GT3 then play the same course on GT4, then you'll see what i mean.

Either way its a muchly improved game and my only problem now is dragging myself away from it!

P.s: I started with a 1999 Nissan Skyline GTR Vspec N1... currently running around 500hp at all four with about 750nm. :)

If you purchased GT4 Prologue and completed all the licenses you are able to transfer those licenses and $100,000 across to your GT4 memory card. Saves you doing all the licenses again. You will still have to do the "international" licenses though.

well i started by transfering my 100000 credits from GT3 that it allows u to do
i bought an series 6 FD RX7 (401BHP)
then an Evo 6 TME (444BHP)
won some toyota rally car sold it for 265000
and have completed about 10% of the game
only got 2 test to go in the super license
the game is really good

another pick at the graphics, its all good with the detail on the environment and stuff but, being a simulator, u;d think they would increase the reality of smoke and tyre marks. it disappoints the bogan within.

started with an '04 spec c STi...which now does consistent 9.5's on street tyres :D

gotta love the 600hp flaming dodge ram 1500 that does low 11's :D

Ok,

now i got over my intial graphics disapointment and gotten into the game.

Its TOPS :D

There a lot of added features. I even like the flames on gear down hehe :)

There is sooo much music now too and its all pretty good.

I do believe they have improved the realism another notch too. dunno what others think.

ok for me im 15% into the game got the r34 gtr n1 (black) as me 1st car that was maxed out 800 plus hp then i got the evo 3 that was then bomed out then the amuse carbon 34 then thats now bombed out then i got the typhoon xr6 thats fully modded aswell ...
the camaro race car, s13 setup for drifting a r32 for the same purpose and the 400r aswell... one thing that frustrates me is the fact that i have been threw so many cars inc some of the special z33's and d1 cars and there is no decent resale in them buy a 100k car and ya get 2k for it the day after its a bit frustrating and the fact that i keep winning all of these shit "concept cars" that aint worth a cent so i give them away thats the only things that frustrate me

I have taken ownership of Cerberas game as he does not have a PS2, and since i have built a 1009hp Pagani Zonda. All licenses have been completed, thought they were a little easier than GT3. About 15% through the game.

1 question, how the fuck do you drift? Me and Cerbera have been trying and trying and trying and cant, we even purchased the Blitz R34 sedan and couldnt stop the ass end from whipping around.

Seems to be a little easier with the more stock cars.

There should be a D1 drift section tho, definately a let down.

ive got a 560hp VY SS, 706hp FPV TYPHOOn and a 600 hp BAGT.
god, they are boats. lol, the tpyhoon has a stage 3 weight reduction and still wieghs like 1400kg haha

also got a nice nsx and bombed silvia.

I bout a silvia at the start, bombed it out slowly..

the easiest way i found to earn money is goto the special events, race 2, complete both the races and u win a 250,000 dollar rally car. sell the rally car, and u got 250,000k in the bank! go nuts :D u can keep doin the race over and over again for more money......

i went out and grabbed that logitech force steering wheel (force feedback - yeah baby!) + gt4 package thats available now......got it from megamart for like 180 bucks....
this game rocks! and goddamn, the steering wheel adds a whole new element to it.....i've ended up going back to prologue and starting that again with the wheel to get full control again....
money well spent, as far as i'm concerned

I gave the game a GT3/GT4 comparo..... there is a difference! Just gotta play one after the other. Personally i like the handling, much more realistic.

when you go to save the photos, you have the option to save to the ps2 card or the usb port, i got one of those usb thingo u just plug it in and it save the files on it :D

I started with an S13 Silvia transfered the money and modded the hell out of it.I have completed 30% of the game now and fuck the rally parts are hard.My favouite car that i own now is the 350Z Motul JGTC it's awesome it has 900hp.

built up a TVR Cerbera Speed12 yesterday, supercharged with 1018hp.... its okay but a little bit stupid for racing hahaha except for highspeed challenges :)
