im going to be puttin my escort into storage and start spending some coin on my sigma wagon,i was gonna go down the v6 conversion road but since ive takin it on a couple open cruises........... I WANT GATE

i found this turbo kit
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1978-1987-Mitsubishi-Sigma-T3T4-Turbo-Charger-Kit_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3ef68be2f1QQitemZ27 0424335089QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAcce ssories

it is cheap but it does come with almost everything ill need,

obviously ill have to upgrade the fuels system etc,

main things i want to know

1.im going to convert the astron to efi with a setup out of a magna,
are the ecu's out of the magnas reprogammable or would i be better off buying a second hand wolf 3d or sumthin along the lines,

2.is there any sort of fabrication ill have to get done in the engine bay to accomodate the turbo setup?

3.am i waistin my time with the kit i have listed above?(i am on a tight budget)

4.do you's rekon a rebuilt astron ottom end could handle being force fed some extra air?

i havent played around too much with turbo setups so i guess i am fairly new to it,i am gonna be doing most of it myself except for mainly the tuning side of things,

any help greatly appreciated

Hey dude i got a feeling the US sigmas came with a cirius or sirius(like a starion) engine not an astron so that kit wont fit your astron engine. My brother is the mitsubishi expert at our house but he is over east at the moment. He looks on here every few days so he might reply with more info. Maybe get on google to find out if the american sigmas are astron or not.??

Or get onto the austarion forums they might have more info.

i did email the seller and asked him of it was to suit the astron motor and i got the response back saying that it was, even if it didnt suit, the outright cost of the rest of the bits minus the manifolds make it worth it i rekon, i dont rekon it would cost too much to get a manifold made up to suit the stron 2?

Depending on the coin, there was a Sigma wagon getting around with a L67 ( super6 ecotec ) in it, and it was fairly nasty on the road.
Otherwise just get a price on a manifold being made up ?
