Many of us here are following the event due to our own Steve Jones competing.
Event has been marred by this tragic crash.

nobody deserves to die as a result of something they enjoy

Quite saddened by this.. yet again it goes to show even the best drivers can still make bad judgments, a tragic reminder that no matter how controled of the vehicle you feel.. anything can happen.
real shame to go down doing something you love.

very sad, RIP.
was a nice car too, they have competed and done fairly well in Targa west previously.
thoughts with the family and crew.
RIP, no words can express the sadness you feel for those personally involved.

There was a scene I saw in something recently (may have been 'Love The Beast' the Eric Bana thing, not 100% sure) where a circuit racer made a comment along the lines of, those tarmac rally drivers are nuts. No crash barriers, run offs or the like, just trees.
I have been watching these types of events for years, and have always thought the same sort of thing. Def have alot of respect for the drivers and navigators of such events.
Again RIP guys, Condolences to the Family and friends.

After having done an event just like this and realising how much all the crews put on the line to get the results they do, massive respect to everyone that does it. I remember seeing the guys and car in parc ferme at Targa West earlier this year.
RIP :(
