So I'm pretty keen on fixing up the paint on one of my TX3s a bit. All that's wrong with it is the clear is beginning to flake off which is pretty common with these Lasers.

Is it as simple as sanding back ever-so-slightly and giving it a few coats of clearcoat? Or would I require an entire respray for it to look good again?

Once I get it over pits and rego'd it will only be used as my daily and I may even be selling it in the next few months to fund my other project, so if it's going to be a full respray then I guess it's not worth it...

Cheers guys!

Fairly sure you cant just reapply clearcoat and would need to a proper respray.

Cheers, paint can stay as it is then.

yeh once the clear has broken down due to UV rays the next thing attacked is the pigment in the paint.
To repair the surface needs to be sanded back then sealed with a 2pac primer before being painted again.

If you just "lightly sand" then reapply clear you will be left with big rings and cloudy patches all over.
