View Full Version : Dome filters and the pits.
Does anyone know if those Dome style air filters are legal? Or if i'd have any trouble with the pits inspectors? The rest of the car is 100% standard, it's not a performance mod, it's just that the stock air box is shit and this is an easier, cleaner fix.

Also wondering the same thing about these breathers:

air filter should be fine.(assumes its pretty old car)
if they ask why don't u have the stock one just say that the stock air filter is no longer available because of the age of the car and this was the closest to stock replacement you could find.
oil breathers generally they fail for as it should be plumbed back for emissions and shit. :s i failed for this...
as long as the filter is secure they're fine with it, they pass pods filters with no problems

breathers are not legal
as others mentioned above, pods are fine providing they are very secure (does not flop around on the rubber hose)
