they took the T51R, GT3082, bike, gate, but left a lot of other stuff
bulk sidchrome tools, bulk power tools, etc, heaps of booze boxes untouched.
seems VERY specific. thinking its the renderer's / painters that were here on friday
Why would a painter want a T51r?

19-10-2009, 12:53 PM
lol... painters don't own turbo cars?
Course they do man.
But this was ultra specific by the looks of things. I reckon someone who was at the house and saw it once off wouldnt be picking bits out.
God knows, just trying to help him pin point it so he can get his stuff back.

Keep a lookout on ebay and the quokka for parts of your bike and drive through the pines and kwinana off road area every weekend.
It does sound like someone who has been around your house before though.
Also might help to put up posters and stuff at your local shops and actually write down the amount of reward you are prepared to give, it might just be enough for a junkie to dog his mates.

the renderer's were working right next to the shed (fully hidden from road), they would of been able to see in the shed window and see the bike.
theres a few things now that are adding up that points to them.
we are getting the names from the builder (who contracts out the rendering), and giving the names to the police (who want to run the names on the database to see if any priors pop up)... apart from that, i can only hope they try to sell it to Xtremes or cashies

dean, yeh one of the plasterers.
its definately NOT a random robbery.
since i had the ute out the front (edit: overnight), with drag slicks, sidchrome tools, jack etc,
so it proves its not a crime of opportunity.
as if it was ppl trawling the streets, they would of grabbed them.
cops know that, but i dont think they can do much... unless the Ford owner has a prior conviction.. then they might be able to investigate that guy more ??

Funnily enough Matt, the company that did the work just happened to be on our sundry contact list.
As far as I know they don't usually use sub-contractors which makes me wonder if the ute in question is at the company at any point during the day?

MISS 13B
21-10-2009, 01:30 PM
Sorry Matt I typed that in a bit of a rush.
At work, we have a tradie contacts list that we refer to which has contact details for heaps of sparky's, bricklayers, carpenters etc. Basically anyone who would be associated with the construction/property industry that we can use for projects.
There is a section for each contact where we enter the details of the sub-contractor that they use (if any).
We happened to have World of Plaster on the list and under the sub-contractor section there is "N/A - Labourers employed by company"
So if the guy who owns this burgundy ute in question is a direct employee of World of Plaster, chances are he's there at some point during the day.
I hope that makes more sense!
This was quite interesting..

they would be pretty game going back to a job they've just stolen a whole bunch of shit from when clearly everything points to them wouldn't they?
If it was them why not come back once they've finished the job?!
Has anything about stolen good been mentioned to them or anything? Would be interesting to see their reactions
regardless hope you get your stuff back what a shit thing to happen.
Azrian
21-10-2009, 02:16 PM
That would be the best thing for them to do if they did steal it, go back the next day and finish the job. Looks hell of a lot less suss.
yeahlow34
21-10-2009, 02:21 PM
It's a pretty tough one Matt. Sorry to see you in this position.
I agree with Tahni above, it's pretty unlikely they would return to a job they've stolen from. Although, might be a double bluff....maybe that's what they want you to think!
My suggestion would be approaching them, and laying it on the table. Say you've had the stuff stolen, and ask if they know anything about it. Query whether they saw anything. Don't make the suggestion it could have been them though....If you're good at judging peoples reactions...then this should give you a fair idea. Try and make eye contact, and don't say too much. If they're guilty they won't want to make eye contact, and will often say too much then needed. Something only you can gauge though.
Then say you haven't gone to the cops as yet, but will be going there tonight/tomorrow etc. Ask whether they would be comfortable with you passing on there information, to assist in any police queries.
At this point they may come clean, as they are nervous of police involvement.
Keep in mind though, they may be innocent. Don't accuse them, as they'll likely give you nothing to go on.

Happen to have a client directly across the road from them. I was there yesterday. Had of you mentioned a day prior - I could have had a look.
Massive wall surrounds the place, electrified at the top as well. Bit of overkill when they just deal with plastering.
What has happened is fucked but instead of just thinking it was the tradies I would be making sure it doesn't happen again.
I only come on here for a read and a laugh and I know that you've pretty much always got stuff for sale and would also assume that its at your house.
I also know that you go to drift practice, No limits and what cars you drive, first and last names, so finding out where you live wouldn't exactly be brain surgery...
Best of luck getting your stuff back.

cops rocked up to my house (guessing to talk to me because i forgot to hand in the stolen report list earlier in week).
got told by the other workers on the job, that one of the renderers saw the cops, shat, and hid in the porta-loo until the cops left... now, im not detective, but people with nothing to hide dont hide in portable toilets in the middle of the day
you mean he went into the porta loo to shit :D
