Car is getting a nistune done next week, thought I would prepare the car as best way possible for the tune.

This weekend going to replace the plugs with some coppers at .8mm
Oil & Filter was replaced 2K ago but figure may as well do it again, will put a tank of 98 in, oxy sensor is 5K old so thats fine, will also cable tie all vac lines.

Any suggestions if there is anything else I could do to get the best out of my tune? Is it worthwhile putting in octane booster? Should I take off the IC and clean the oil out?

Could also give the air filter a clean too.

nope, as then your tune is for a higher octane than you normally run.

just make sure you got topped up oil, coolant, etc
make sure no vacuum leaks or oil leaks. etc

ensure tread on tyres is good (if its a roller)

lock nut key (trust me!)
no leaks

cool cheers for advice guys..

IC soaking as we speak, did not think to clean my air filter so doing that now.
also got some cable ties to fasten all vac lines

lock nut key? I dont have lock nuts but why would you need to take the wheels off? Best to rear or something?

Make sure you have oil in the sump, thats generally a good start.

I run 95 atm, only because at the moment I dont need to run 98.

put whatever fuel in that you intend to run in the future.
Suggest 98.

^ what he said.

If u want it tuned on 98 (for more power..etc) then you need to keep running the car on 98 after it gets tuned.

98 or go home. Its the car is a turbo one like a skyline or silvia it should always run 98, because it is much more stable type of petrol which is better for combustion under boost.
