Anyone had one made before? If so who did you use, what was the cost?

Alloy race components in Melbourne made the one for my racecar (ally with a steel insert)
Then after I spun it off and munted the mounting holes it made a nice wall art piece
I would suggest Cro-Mo
Not much more weight and a damn sight tougher
I was lucky... bought an unfinished one off ebay that had ring gear and mounting holes for crank but none for clutch
So I had it drilled to suit the clutch I was using
Lightened and balanced (only 500g heavier than the alloy one it replaced)
All good on the car now
Not bad for $31 initial cost
Expect to pay abit to have one made... I don't really know anyone local I would trust to make a steel one
I'm sure someone here could spin one up if you find the right material to make one (and have a design)

Why not just buy something like a fidanza one if they make it for your application?
Seem like a great product for the price.
I have one fitted and it has so far done its job.. think its 4.5kgs

PAR engineering is currently designing and making mine to suit the tilton twin plate.
800 for my design, machined, tapped and ready to rock.
I paid 500 for my current PAR flywheel (4.5kg over 9kg stock), however that was a part of a group buy.
Gerard is the man to speak to, i like spending a bit extra and getting the brand name as im very impressed with the products ive used/fitted in the past
Cheers
on the same topic, I need some teeth repaired on my OS giken twin plate. Anyone good locally? The ring gear is part of the flywheel, not a slip fit

Cant just spin the flywheel around? 6cyls only stop in 3 spots so if you can, just flip it around and you have a new spot to engage on
it's for an 8 cyl (vh45) the section of teeth damaged is about 7 teeth long so would prefer to get it repaired. Cheers for the tip though

all good, worse when the cylinders increase as you usually cant get away with it on a 8, as it stops in 4 spots

I've got one of these, great flywheel.. noisy, but great.
Maybe you can find one with the correct diameter and bolt pattern? Surely an E30 flywheel would be interchangeable with something else thats on the market?

JB Racing, AASCO and a few others make them, but at $500USD + shipping minimum, figure of better looking at getting custom one locally made.
Got some calls to make :)
