STOLEN - VX Senator w/ LS7 on VE 20's [Archive]

BIG REWARD for the cars return, or any good/solid leads on the car's location/whereabouts.

Very good mate of mine has had his pride and joy stolen after only getting the car onto the road last week. The car was dragged onto a tow truck from his driveway.

It's a black VX Senator with the plates [CYA BYE].

Distinguishing features of the car are the VE 20" Pentagon wheels, and an LS7 in place of the old LS1, and a 6spd Manual gearbox behind it.

The only pictures of the car are below, and they aren't the greatest.

Car was stolen from Fifth Rd in Shelly between roughly midday Sunday and late Monday.

Alot of money and sentimental value has gone into this car the last few months, only for it to be stolen a week after getting it rego'd and on the road.

We have been trawling the classifieds looking for bits that may have come from the car, nothing yet. Fingers crossed the car returns in one piece.

I'm not entirely sure.

Been scouring the classified for parts, not the whole car. I very highly doubt it will turn up in say the Quokka as a complete car. Also got a few friends in the east keeping an eye on the parts trading classifieds there too.

Doubt that it would be put up for sale complete but as said parts would definately be something to look out for. A cheap, complete LS7 wouldnt last long in the quokka thats for sure. No doubt its got built box, strong diff aswell. Senator interior is something alot of people wouldnt mind grabbing either

Only just found out it's a 6spd Manual too, and yeah, built diff.

Edit: First post updated a bit - gearbox added, and also just found out that the car was dragged onto a tow truck from his driveway.

Mate had his VL towed from an IGA carpark in Carine last week. Police mentioned that these types of thefts are becoming more and more common.

Cameras from the storefronts will give solid leads apparently but what the hell is wrong with people?

Every time something like this happens first everyone is saying "if i catch them they will be strung up" then once they are caught no one wants to do anything about it and not even give up there name.

If some pingpingpingping steals a car, then you should name who it was, don't be weak. If someone gets a tow with this dude because they didn't know about this incident, then their car gets stolen, how you going to feel then. You could of prevented it. What happened to looking out for your "mates".

Are the police going to lay charges? If they are, just post XXX business is being charged for allegedly stealing said vehicle. That way you can circumvent any litigious issues.

Big grats on getting the car back, and big thanks to the guys who gave the information which helped to find it.

If it was my car, id do everything I can to get it back.

Not talking about you personally here, but all too often when these 'stolen' threads get started, every guy under the sun would do unspeakable things to the culprits. Yet this is the third occasion I've seen (not just on this forum) where the culprits have been found, and suddenly everyone wants to protect there privacy.

Fuck it. If your willing to take someone elses pride and joy, well then chin the fuck up and cop the flack/justice/embarrasment that goes with getting caught. I don't see any shame in naming culprits. They could have avoided all the shit by not being selfish theiving pingpingpingpings.

We should not be protecting those people.

I'm not trying to hide their privacy/protect them, not in the slightest - I too feel they should receive the full extent of the law bestowed upon them, I just did not want to publicly name and shame them as there is every chance that it may backfire.

A simple PM to me would have yielded the answer you were all looking for, but thus far, not one person having a bitch that I should name them have PM'd me asking for the name. Of all the people that DID send me a PM, all of them have been gladly replied to.
