i paid $100 for a 14 day holiday with hbf - was good that it covered sport activities such as snowboarding which most othrs wanted to charge extra for.

saying that, basically chipped a tooth in half snowboarding and they wouldnt pay out on it since it wasnt bad/painfull enough to get emergency dental care while overseas (happened on 2nd to last day on holiday so waited till i returned to australia to get it looked at).

also had to claim for damaged suitcase and loss of mobile phone. despite the huge fuck around which id say all insurers would give u, 10 weeks and 20 phonecalls later, i eventually got a cheque in the mail.

pretty bad service really given i had to keep checkign up on the progress of claim because they failed to inform me they lost my quotes etc that i faxed and sent to them so had to do everythign like 3 times over.

and they wonder why i changed my health insurance 1 month later when my policy with them expired

only cost like 100 bucks a year for gold card fee, so if you travel twice ina year its paid for itself

be careful with HBF and Bank travel insurance.

I work at Flight Centre, our travel insurance is the most comprehensive and covers alot more than these other companies!!! We go through covermore who go thru Vero - a proper insurance company...

Also the best thing about it is........... bring in a quote from these other fukers and we will price beat :))))
