Hi Guys,

Can anyone point me in the direction of someone in Perth who does dash conversions, ie changing colours of all the LED's? holden stock green looks terrible.

I know of one guy who is over-priced and works from home so i don't really want to go down that path..

Thanks,

Jamie

shouldnt be too hard to do, i got LED bulbs in blue off ebay and installed myself.
If I can do it, anyone can.

Buy the globes (LED's) from ebay. It's not that hard to pull the dash out and change the bulbs. Should cost you less than $10.

Can't just change the globes in a Commodore (presuming it's a Commodore, OP said Holden), as the dash cluster has a green layer of film in the dial membrane that cannot just be removed.

There is/was a guy on Street Commodores that did a rather involved write-up on how to do it yourself, and it's pretty easy - just time consuming.

Edit: Found the write-up for VY/VZ Commodore - here (http://forum.streetcommodores.com.au/showthread.php?t=8474850) (may need an account to see, can quote post here if it's what you want.)

Still looking for the one for the VT/VX/VU if that's what you're after.

hey mistikal, i do also remeber seeing the one for VT/VX/VU awhile ago, fyi my car is a VT Calais.
i think SC has been down for a couple of hours now.

I was also told that the only issue, would be with the climate control as the panel has the green film over it.

Nah, the fascia on your cluster has a green film thru it - it is possible to sand it out where the lights shine thru, but then you will get hot-spots on the cluster.

Best suggestion is to give it to the guy who does it from home. Chances are he's done a few, and knows what to do.

The Climate Control module and the other green buttons on the dash are a little different, I'm pretty sure that the plastic within the buttons is actually tinted, but I can't quite remember.

IIRC, there is a kit to do the headlight switch, a kit for the trip computer buttons, and a kit for the climate control unit - all of which are (or at least were) available on eBay.
