RB20 turbo

Hey all does anyone know if the two variants of turbos on an RB20 (Garrett and Hitachi) are interchangeable without changing manifolds etc? My mate has an RB20 in his swift gti and blew the turbo seals. He has the Hitachi turbo but they dont make seals for them anymore so he wants to know if we can basically just pull out the Hitachi and bolt on the Garrett.

afaik they only ever used one turbo on the r32 RB20, maybe they had a diff turbo on the red top ?

retop eccs and nics both used diferent turbos to the silvertop eccs, if your mate is interested in changing mani's ive got both low and highmount laying around collecting dust.
