Pro Stock making its first appearance at the Motorplex. 400 cubic inch (6.5 litre) naturally aspirated V8s making a touch over 1000 horsepower and knocking on the door of six second runs at 310kmh.

Super Street ANDRA license, TS Loop, 4 Point Harness, Battery Isolation Switch i believe? May be diffeent for you as you don't run 11's or below...

Do you have your unlimited drag licence yet? You can race on that in Super Street.
Or you can just get a Super Street licence, and then when you upgrade to the UDL they credit it.
Shit that reminds me I need to renew mine!!!
You won't need a four point harness or battery isolation switch running above 11.99.

Should add that if you're ever thinking about going with some mates to the drags, it can be cheaper to race!!! :) Providing you have a Super Street licence of course.
Online entry to race is $105. With your entry you get your ticket in, plus two crew. Silver (pit) admission to the drags is $38 so 3 x $38 = $114.
So why not just enter, do some massive skids, and then if you lose in the first round, just head to the stands and enjoy the show like you were going to do anyway!!

I am keen to enter. Not sure what category they will put me in but.
Super sedan mentions no engine swaps in the rule book.

Might end up in some random sport compact catgory ...

Anyone know ?

We should have the GTR there running in super sedan so long as all goes well in testing and nothing breaks. Im also just finishing off the old 200b for super sedan aswell. It should have a bit more hp now and hopefully we can get it into the 9's.

Over 250 entries for next weekend, going to be one of the largest one day drag racing events ever held in Australia...if anyone wants a cheap pass or two let me know, I have three from my entry.

yer thats good and bad news !

I got an email saying that due to the number of entries you will only be allowed 2 quailifing runs.

So that means I will only get 3 runs for the day .....

LOL, i dont think so. 500 shot on a stock bottom end will end before the 60' mark. until Age gets the feel for it and how its going to react on the track we will be running around a 150 shot.

:eek3: :eek3: :eek3: :eek3: :eek3: :eek3: :eek3: :eek3: :eek3: :eek3: :eek3: :eek3:

pretty much how age's face inside the helmet would look if we told him to hang on, its a 500 shot LOL:lol:

 I thought so. He'd need a couple of bottles per run with a 500 shot. Look forward to seeing some results from Adrians red rocket on the bottle. It's an awesome example of a VX.

I thought it was alot on a factory LS1 bottom end, but had no reason to discount what Mitch said. Must have been winding me up!

Was a good event.

Got knocked out in first round of super sedan with a 10.806 on a 10.800 dial in ! Got me on the reaction 0.143 vs 0.098

The DYO racing is a tough gig !!

How did everyone else go ?

Saw luke, age and the sr20 datto out :)

Yeah bad luck Butters that was a close one.
Yeah I was epic fail in round one. Two qualifiers were a 12.55 with a .006 light and a 12.56 with a -.010, so I decide to go for a safe light in round one and cut a shitty .154 or something and the car runs a 12.75 on a 12.56 dial in....faaaark.
Saw Shane go a few rounds in the ute taking out some pretty good racers along the way.

I had to go to a wedding. Lawrence had the 200b datto there but had some issues with a mystery gremlin causing it to loose power after it launches for around 2 seconds. I thought he was lifting his foot off the gas but he swears he is not.
We couldnt run the GTR because they wouldnt allow licensing on the day and we couldnt get it to the track last wednesday as we were still waiting on a new billet flexplate. The standard flexplate wasnt coping to well.

cut a shitty .154

Looooool my best reaction was a 0.110 and I was happy with that !

I agree the pro-stocks were pretty awesome to watch. I like the category.

I thought i had it pegged after qualifying with 2 x 11.20's & decent lights, but 1st elimination i red lighted & ran a 11.006 on a 11.22 dial in
Will be on the hunt for something more drag orientated & be out there after a few events giving it a go again hopefully!

Well done to AGE01 (with Mitch & Deb's help) & Shane who seemed to do the best on the day out of the forum members :D

I tried the trans-brake and 2 step for the first time on the 1st qualifying pass and just smashed the tyres off the line and went though with a 10.359@134.73 with a 0.098 reaction.
I abandoned the trans-brake and 2 step for the 2nd qualifier and did a 9.942@136.98 with a red light -0.050 which was quick enough to put me in the fast half of the field for the first time.
1st elimination i left on a 0.086 compared to the other blokes 0.148 so once i court him i just rolled off to just stay in front with a 9.914 @ at only 126mph on a 9.86 dial in.
2nd round i ran a 9.855 on a 9.850 dial in with a 0.008 light.
3rd round i lost with a 0.083 light compared to a 0.048 which pushed me to a brake out 9.815 on a 9.83 dial in.

Looks like you would have gone a 10.5x if you hadn't braked at the end, you were already 0.105 up on your 10.70 qualifying pass at 1000ft.

hehe yer i had to brake pretty hard. 10.8 @ 102 mph ......

I didn't get a clean qual run. Missed gears in both runs. So did a soft dial in just in case I did it again. Also had no clue how quick it could go.

Which of course I didn't miss a gear in elims so it meant having to brake to avoid the break out.

my mate murray was 2 spots from you in the pits with the blue VL, and i was with another car in the tunnel behind you for the qualifier, the one just after the oil spill when you had to re-do burnout. looked and sounded mint.

also saw shane's ute. engine bay is a work of art.

was crewing for the Extreme lambo. hitting the wall kinda killed the night a bit, but kaine winning sedan in Bugger made up for it a bit.
