so i sold my maroon 33 street car and decided to buy a track only car to hopefully preserve my license and help me get more serious with my drifting

Seen this at Collie 2 weekends ago drifting. Sounded good, looked good...har har and then it died on the side of the track :P Well not died but I dunno what happend haha :P Sorry public shame haha

not a fan of the headlights however
are they moulded rear guards or just heavily flared?

diffenately a sic drift car!saw this at collie as well!kept on blowing the intercooler pipe off!so nothing wrong with the engine!:wave: cant wait to see this at powercruise!capable hands of luke fink!understatement of the year!haha he will give it a good workout thats for sure!:idb:

haha yeah collie was an epic fail! blew intercooler piping 3x which wasted over 3 hours track time! then when finally got a decent run went too sick manji'd the back straight which brought me into the S bend all wrong and went out on gravel. unfortunately (and moronically) i kept my foot up it on the gravel and when it hit tarseal again it snapped stub axle. All in all some very poor driving lol
had a lot of fun later on though in that grey NA S13 and was a sweet weekend

Yeah im not overly keen on the headlights either but as its a drift car i probably wont bother changing them
the rear guards are fibreglass and cover the entire rear quarter panel and yeah moulded on (not looking forward to 1st delam lol)
(EDIT: Guards are actually metal Fink delaminated at pc and they held together)

hahaha by the feel of it curve will be a little bit savage lol full boost is bout 4600 but revs like hell (well over 8000rpm) will try throw on dyno next week. problem is everytime i need to go to workshop i have to get it towed :( the downside of racecars)

question tho... what makes it a 2.7? does the Nismo Rods/Piston & Crank combo increase the stroke or is it the same stroke but with stronger Nismo N1 gear and O/S pistons. I know what makes a car stroked, was not aware the Nismo N1 Crank was a different stroke is all.

100% correct lol on the street at speed it gets airborne very easily haha

Jap built originally bought into the country by Terry Vahoumis and apparently entered in driftwa 07. As for the cubic capacity I'm assuming the block was slightly bored for the oversized pistons. I don't think it would quite work out to 2.7 but thats just what it was listed as.

even if it was 40 thou oversize its only 1mm difference a pot, would just be slight cc increase. Either way the specs are very impressive, I hope it serves you well!

87mm pistons = 2648cc.
Considering the rb26 is rounded up from 2568cc, its a fair enough call that its a rb27.
Car looks like a ripper :D

White one is work in progress street car (when this car isn't inhaling cash)
The rear guards I assume are GTR? theyre metal anyway

rear guards definitely look like GTR ones.
RB27 = Jun stroker, and 2628cc is definitely 2.6.
Looks bloody awesome though. Not a fan of the headlights, but still better than the stock cloudy ones like most (including mine) have.

Cheers man. Yeah the headlights dont really do it for me either but it seems pointless to buy headlights for a drifter lol.
Didn't see your car in action over the weekend (due to spending too much time fixing mine lol) but looks mean and sounds like it hauls

Yup :( actually it shit itself saturday but Tarquin from VR Auto service centre saved the day. took the car swapped the box from his drift car into mine, serviced it, and had it back in a couple of hours! Sadly his drift car is a little slow without a gboox so he wants it back lol

Yeah all sponsorship issues sorted. Apparently none of my messages were received and all is being sorted.
One thing I can't stress enough is there was NEVER a problem with Dan at modyourcar he's been a big help and is a friend.
Realistically it was a fuckin stupid idea to have a whinge on a forum and lesson's well learned.
