Round 11 sees the second visit of the 2009 series to the extremely fast hillclimb on the haul roads at the Collie Motorplex.

Apparently he was pulling 251km/h at the end of the straight.
Wonder how long it will be before CAMS jumps on this event.

Kicking myself for not entering this one now. I've only heard good things.
The new freeway extension should shorten the drive a touch too.

Awesome Jimmah. That is a stonkin effort. Definately GTR country on that back track. 3 fairly long straight bits of track, and some time to be made up for the truly brave (or those driving someone elses car) linking them all together. :)

Drive to Collie is under 2 hours now (took bout 1hr50min staying on the limit) from the city to the track.

Yea Jimmah top speed was 248 , my under powered 31 did 198ks .. layout is good but main straight is a lil bumpy

Not from the SES event but from the Evo vs WRX event the day before, here is my run. I timed it at ~79 seconds from the video, but this was the first time I'd really seen the course. I topped out at 195km/hr or 7000rpm in 5th before i pussied out and got on the brakes

heh, saw the vid on another forum. straight line knuckle dragging probably would have won that "hil climb"
