how to reset check engine light

Hi
Does anyone know how to reset a check engine light in a ve commodore.
I left the stereo on for too long and then tried to start it and now when it starts after the new battery the check engine light comes on.
I cant be fucked dealing with holden to get tech 2 hooked up so is there a procedure to do it without holden like bridging terminals out and shit.

Im pretty sure your shit out of luck

When a fault is registered with the ECU is stays there until it is wiped, which means taking it to a holden dealership.

Well pretty sure thats what happens with the VE's.

you dont have to take it to holden, most small workshops have em
try something like ultratune

Yeah its logged a DTC and only way to clear it is with Tech 2 or a suitable scan tool.

Yeah its all good now took it for a spin and it disappeared thanks anyway guys
