I think thats a crock of shit.

Police need support staff and they need people to be able to get to remote stations for training and the like.. It is simply not feasible to chuck training or other non police staff on the bus or in a plane to get there. Think of how many staff get moved around the state and the plane tickets and hire car expenses and you have yourself in a false economy situation. Alot of the admin vehicles are still 6 cylinder commodores and falcons.. Hopefully as they get the kilometers up they will be replaced with more economical smaller 4 bangers.

There is no were near 1200 non operational vehicles. As it is when you start shift sometimes you are waiting for the previous shift to bring the vehicle back so you can start patrolling.

There is a few non essential vehicles I will admit that. However if you cull them it still wont meet the 10%.

There is no easy solution to the problem of the budget cuts. However police are already under pressure due to fuel bills and vehicle costs.. This will just make it worse.

Let me tell you now.. THIS WILL make police response time slower and effect the already stretched WA Police even thinner.

Yes, but no. To be blunt, car and bike people just talk a lot of what they dont like on car and bike forums, closed forums that dont involve ministers, media or have any representation. Its as if you have two Italians in a deli debating and pissed off about something ... if you dont walk into that particular deli, you will never know.

We start with a lot of enthusiaism, get partially railroaded by our own (negative comments : you cant, you wont etc etc) and in the end its a one sided story by the media when the car and bike people just waddle away.

There is nothing stopping us standing up.
