Those rims look the goods. Love the colour of the car too. You don't see too many BFs in that one. Nothing over the top on the exterior.

58 was on RE55's but it was only my 2nd time at a race track. There's plenty of room for improvement i think...

I went in to the panel shop the day after i bought it & asked about de winging it but they said no go. Paint is too hard to blend so it's pretty much a respray job for half the car :(

Correct. 2.73's are used because of the very low/short first gear.
Once your moving, the shear torque these things produce just keep you motoring with the long diff gears.

The panel shop i went to is owned by a mate, so i think he was fairly truthful when advising me against it. Was mainly due to the process in which new fords are painted, extremely thick undercoat, 2 very thin coats of colour, then thick coat of clear.
I'll wait and see how your one turns out...

mines done 105,000km with 370 rwkw running 18-19psi, not as fast as deans but its not to far off.

box last 85,000km before it got rebuilt, but it was pretty knackered

the t 56 is fairly strong just when the auto is at its limits you can squeeze more power through the manual but then eventually as you get greedy for more power the 56 just falls to pieces.....there is a solution....upgrade!

again upgrade, but its fairly common sense that its all about mechanical sympathy. a string of mega hp manual cars out there still running standard driveshafts and even the diff bush is in one piece. i unfortunately don't fall into that catergory :(

Very reliable.
As with any modified car, the reliability comes from a good tune. Learn how to manipulate the tunes so as they don't detonate & you have a winner :)
I have put ~30,000 very hard kms on the car with numerous strip passes & a few wraps at Barbs with barely no hassles. I did snap a tailshaft but i tried stalling the car up too hard... 12psi off the line is never going to end well with standard driveline! Haha

Na it aint a daily... Try my best to limit the amount of kms it sees so it doesn't end up being a clapper after a few years! Haha
Standard axles/cv's/diff/tailshaft etc & only ever twisted the rear half of my tailshaft once at the drags when trying to launch with 10 or 12psi of boost! :lol:

Nothing at all.
Achieved what i wanted with it when i ran the 10 on stock engine & turbs. Time to move on before it's worth nothing & i cry over all the dollars i lost!
