hey guys.
rebuilding the 120y after i get back from perth tafe in august and just keen to know whats the laws on roll cages on road legal cars and where i cud go 2 get permits and 1 fabbed up.
and permits for a different engine. aka sr20 or ca 18 with turbo :) thanks

half cages to an extent can be legal...once it gains front legs, forget about it

1200cc NA originally, and you want to put a 2l turbo? not liking you chances to get that engineered

Steve at maitland engineering is the roll cage man in WA to do them. He did a half cage for my car with removable intrusion bars so i can get permits for it. If you get intrusion bars that are welded on you cant get a permit. Basically you get the stuff fitted (engine etc...) then take your car to the pits then they'll tell you what you need to do (unless they think its allgood) to get a permit. good luck!
