Its sad to see it go really. There needs to be some people out there that can take the piss out of politicians and put it on tv.

I dont really c it as a bad thing, they r kinda scraping the bowl for jokes these days. They are to well recognised by polititians security and shit these day and are usually stopped pretty quickly what ever they try.

cant help but feel the do gooder's may have won somehow.

But the team did say they decided to pull the pin them selves.

They will return - with something different obviously.

notice that this season that alot of their calls were in quite bad taste.. where before it was just funny without hitting any real sore spots. calling the cops pigs, mexican flu sol trujillo.

their comedy was always on the offense but never really offensive.. if you get what i mean. this season was in a different direction

looks like they pumpoed quite a bit more money into excerpts and overlays. the taxpayer cops this one

The do gooders shit me off, you can't have a war on everything and have certain things off limits. Defeats the purpose.

But I do agree they were running low on material, they'll be back with something new no doubt.

They were certainly good for reminding Australia of our larikin attitude that we seem to have forgotten, sure enough some of their stuff was pushing the limits but for the most part they reminded us to stop getting so wound up over pety shit.

Be sad to see them go, it was good to laugh at people doing whatever they want and not being cencered by farkn do-gooders.

If people had such an issue with their comedy/skits, it's not that hard to CHANGE THE FUCKING CHANNEL.

on the money mr_mike, everyone knows them now and they have to go overseas to do jokes.

i don't think they have been cancelled i think it's just the end of the season/show. just like all their other shows, chaser election, cnnnn they all get to a point where they can't produce anymore shows. no doubt there will be another show from the chasers in the not to distant future.

Agree i thought it was all usually pretty funny but the make a wish foundation was way way to low and below the belt. It was just not funny.

Exactly, they probably should have ended it before this season, it's not been their best, though the last few weeks haven't been to bad, early episodes of this season just weren't all that funny. They'll just come back with something different, like they kept doing before they were famous.

the skits that arguably went too far, i for one would prefer to be in a country that pushed the envelope and every now and then got it wrong, then to be in a situation where comedy was safe and not striving to push the boundaries. but hey, that's just me.

i heard them complaining about the guide dog skit on the radio today.

When the name of the segment is repeated without the visual it does sound bad, as if they are calling blind ppl not only blind but munted/retarded. Where as soon as u c the visual aspect of it and realise its Blind drunk they r refering to it becomes a pretty funny skit.

People missed the point with the make a wish thing too - it was sposed to pull the piss on the people behind some organisations that kinda exist to serve themselves and not the kids.

Sad to see it go.

Sucks that the only level headed people on tv are packing up.
Hope they come back with something new.

Bring back the Late Show!

the Osama at the white house was funny as. The late show, some of the kiddies here would not know what that was or were it started good old abc.

It got to the point where the attention on the show killed it. The media were wanting to play 'gotcha' journalism with every single item on the show.

Take that guide dog skit. Pre Make A Wish scandal they would have got away with it, but any time there is a little sensitivity affected they now get bagged out. That dog skit was funny.

That said, it has been genuinely unfunny in parts this season. But I would hate to think it left because of the level of political correctness and nambipambiness in the general community.

Yeah, nothing skit-show wise has really compared since it stopped. Chaser borrowed some elements of it, but didn't quite do it for me. They really need something like it back on the ABC or something, because everything else is shit, to be honest.
