Ok so my computers dead, which made me miss Webbers win :(
Power supply seems to work still as mother board led works and when I jumped it seperately it could run the fans.
Swapped reset & power momentary switches around to see if it was the the switch, no dice.
I'm leaning towards motherboard/cpu, but overall there is no burn marks that i can see (haven't removed motherboard from backing tho).
Any other ideas?

Got the onboard speaker hooked up?
If so, getting any beep codes? If no beep codes but it's definitely hooked up right, sounds like a cooked motherboard.

nar no beeps, speakers are hooked up... hmmm.
Thinking the power supply might be dying but not completely dead?

Generally if it turns on with no beep codes, it indicates that everything on board is A-OK. Do you have a graphics card?

Should still get one short beep as it turns on thou ;)
Keep in mind that when I mentioned the speaker, I'm not talking about the stereo speakers that you listen to music with from ya PC, I actually mean the little speaker inside ya PC. It's about the size of top of a Coke can, and should have a red and black wire running from it directly to the motherboard, near where the reset and power switches plug in.

Ok, if you're not getting any beeping what-so-ever, then it definitely sounds like a dead mobo.

Is it possible the power supply is still the culprit?
If it's failing under load then it wouldn't get to the start up beep correct?

Not all computers beep on start up + some mobo speakers are on board these days.
So its turning on?
HDD spins, fans spin, remains on but with no display?
So all in all, if everything runs but no display I'm leaning towards graphics card. Don't thow that mobo away just yet.

Ok first things first, wat exactly is it doing, is it starting up and dieing or not even starting? (as in nothing happens when push power).
If it was ur power supply then it wouldnt work at all and no lights will be showing on mobo.
If the pc starts up and beeps, then its a hardware fault like graphics, cpu or ram, but if nothing beeps then its def mobo

nah its dead, just looking around at new gear as the motherboard was an agp board, so I need to upgrade.

i usually find that if my pc is pissing me off and isn't turning on....it's time to upgrade ;)
make sure you invest in a quality "brand name" power supply etc...that way it should last years and years...and then some.
