I was there last year. Cant for the life of me remember where we stayed.
Paris has a large area to cover with heaps to see. The tourist maps are good and also the underground trains are even better and cheap. Also bring good walking shoes.

From all reports I've heard it's a waste of time going, they are all c*nts and the food was average at best..

Hell no. Make some effort to speak basic French (even just "do you speak English")and they will be polite. If you go there like an arrogant Australian, carry on and speak to everyone assuming they know English and the French will be rude, rightly so.
All the food I had there was great.

I was there last year... Absolutely loved the place.
When the GF booked it up, i couldnt be assed goin, wasnt really interested as I have a preconceived notion of what they were goin to be like - rude & arrogant.
I was wrong - Loved it, was a great place. The older people seem a little bitter but is almost like the younger people are aware that the rest of the world think they are rude, so they try a little bit extra to be helpful if you try and speak minimal french.
Food was great, was nice an clean. Is a touch expensive but you gotta expect that.
Gotta go to the Louvre. Fukin awesome ancient stuff in there.
Just take a walk around, it has so much character.
The girls have this little bit of attitude - I love it...
+ 1 for 'high 5' for Paris!

Went there in November for 2 weeks. We chose to stay at an apartment hotel on Richard-Lenoir which was just down the road from the Bastille, where you have a setup with a kitchen and nobody services your room (actually handy). It was $400AUD a night but it was two bedrooms with a lounge room, TV, Internet, etc.
Most of the places you want to see are easily accessible by the subway system. If only we had a system like theirs. You can usually arrive within minutes of anything you want to see.
You'll need 2 days for the Louvre and the Musee D'Orsay, but with most of the other sites you can easily accomplish a couple in a day. If you want to see the Hotel Invalides, get there first thing in the morning because you'll need a full day for this one. A word of advice though, be prepared for a HUGE line to get into the Eiffel Tower.
The last 4 days we spent at Eurodisney which was a major rush. You'll need at least 3 days to take your time and do everything there.
Enjoy it man, it was a blast.

You've obviously never been.
I LOVE Paris, right up there in one of my favorite cities in the world.
Been there twice, first time stayed at the Intercontinental, thought it was a pretty decent hotel, location was ok.
Second time stayed at the Balzac.... it was yehprettybombednshit.

Paris is great. Love the place and will go back for sure.
Best moment was when we were walking along the river, there happened to be a woman lying naked on a towel in the sun.
Didnt think much of it as they all like being naked over there. Got closer and as we got within about 5 or so metres she looked, then starts playing with her muff, as unshaven and bushy as it was. She wasnt just touching base either, she was having a solid dig putting her elbow right into it.
Would have been 1000000000000000000000000000000 times better if she was not 40ish and ugly as sin.
