Seen this down at Scarbs on Sunday and wondered what the hell it is? Didn't seem to have any badges or any recognizable car manufacturer logos etc on it.. even seemed to have fold out chairs bolted to the floor of the car as driver and passenger seats

Vera has imported a van from the old country and is starting a taxi service.

Nah they're definitely not Land Rover.
It's a Halflinger, an Austrian car, or 4WD designed by Steyr Daimler. It had a 700cc, Twin horizontally opposed, air cooled petrol motor, that put out a whole 24hp at 4500rpm! Phhhwooooar!
I recognized the front end and headlights. The body looks like it was custom built though. But then again i don't know i've only seen versions of it designed for the army just after WWII.
If you want any more info, just ask.
Oh and here's a wiki link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haflinger
