hey ladies n gents,

in about 4 weeks ill be heading to phuket for the first time.so im wandering if anyone has any tips on where to go where not to go etc, will be flying tiger :( so have a 5 hour stop over in singapore...is there anything to do in this 5 hour wait? like i no she is a budget spec airline so im expecting budget spec terminal..so am i able to jus go explore singa's airport n shit?

any info greatly appreciated

hey man im going ova to singapore and phuket leavn on the 31st an then to phuket on the 5th im also flying tiger as it is hell cheaper than the ohter airlines

singapore airport actaully has a hotel with swiming pool aswell u can actaully just pay per hour, 2 if u wna get some sleep

Singapores train line connects to the airport, I think it takes about 20/30 mins to get into the city from memory so get a map of Singapore before you go and go exploring, do some shopping etc.

phuket is friggn awesome ay...i rate it highly.the clubs i found that were the best were tiger bar,seduction and banana bar.

cant really go wrong with the food as most of it is pretty dam bombed..i must say though there is a guy on one of the main runs across the road from the beach that sells crepes freshly made in front of you..try one n i guarantee you will buy another lol.

dont drink the water out of the tap if u dont know that already...use bottled water.

i also reccomend you do the quad biking....rediculously fun.

i could tell you more but id be typing all day....ha ha

hmm not really to tell you the truth.

you will most probably get offered drugs on the streets...dont accept as it might be a big setup involving the local cops.

if you have any girls going with you make sure you keep an eye on them as there is PLENTY of sleezy european guys in the clubs that are very forceful.trust me it happened when we were over there..

also when changing money make sure its a legit place and not some dodgy alley way spec changer..they will short change you for sure.

In singapore you could check out terminal C, pretty fkn huge,

Phuket is killer, Tiger bar for sure ... look out for rude euro's, you will be able to spot them by their cock jocks and lobster spec red skin.

Def go shooting, go karting, quad riding etc we missed out on our elephant tour as we were still pissed but heard it was cool.
We were going to go to fantasea but ended up at a mexican place (upstairs on the strip) pouring our own drinks with the bartenders.

Some mates got back a couple of months back, they went to ping pong show but only had 1 beer each, when they tried to leave the door bitch wouldn't let them go and things got heated, ended up dropping some cash on the counter to save them getting into biffo.

if your getting into Singapore at 2am , get the bus across the main terminal (the non-cheap terminals are linked by train) least there is stuff in there, top floor there is the cinema and the airport hotel.

you will get a better exchange rate over there, also as first time book a driver from the airport before you get over there, walking out of Phuket airport is a mess and the tuktuk drivers will try rip you off

definitly check out phuket fantasea awsome show with all types of animals on stage from elephants to birds that fly above your head.
Also check out the zoo get your photo taken with your arm around a full size tiger!! tiger on a chain spec, my sis did it fuck that the zoo keeper with one arm kinda put me off. The crocodile show is cool to guy puts his head in its mouth n stuff.
Plenty of other awsome shit to do shooting, jet skiing, elephant rides, muaythai fights etc. the food there is the best though so bombed. Enjoy

i rated banana bar higher than tiger, hey. great mix of music if only it stayed open for longer. check out rock city on a tuesday or friday night. two aussie guys own it and they have parties on those nights. can't remember how much you pay but it gives you free piss for 2 hours... as much as you want, it's ridiculous. only people who buy tickets can get in at those nights too so it's all foreigners and no 'orh me love you' stage 5 clingers (which is bulk in tiger).

other misc shit we did was shooting, go-karting, phi phi island tour and....hitting the piss hard. it's too easy over there.

Just dont go to any restaurant's that are empty... obviously means something. Most have quality food, but some look pretty dodge. If you wanna get drunk cheap, go to the little hotel behind 'Phuket Gracelands' hell cheap drinks and awesome food.

Phulet is bombed. Just make sure u go out every night and get drunk or you will regret it when you get back!

went recently u have to do the sea cave canoes. awesome experience u actually have to lie down in the canoe to get through the cave, thats how low it is. also great food on the boat they had a whole kitchen down below. John Gray sea canoe i think it was. and fishing is always good.

does anyone no how much the departure tax is from singapore and phuket? also we have a 6 hour stop over in singapore which we arrive at 02.50am.. can we collect our bags n go threw customs n check straight in or do we have to wait till cpl hours before departue to phuket...

Cant check in until ~ 2 hours before flight. You will be arriving at Changi budget terminal. Its basically like a huge warehouse with toilet facilities and a cafe. Only thing to do there apart from grab some food is sleep. Once you check in there is internet, couple of shops and shit.

Go to the buffalo steak house and get the aussie steak. It is just simply fucking awesome and better then most shit you get here.

Also if your going down to the beach you have to pay to sit on beach chairs but there fuck all and you will have someone bring you drinks etc.

Jet Skiing is also really awesome as there is no course its pretty much go as far as you want just come back lol

Seaview is good (south end of the beach, away from drunk c*nts at 2am) - 300m walk from the main strip (its actually on the main strip, but just furthest from the aussie bogans)

I went there on Christmas and it was great. stayed for a week there and i don't think it was enough lol!
Try to stay on PATONG beach area. (Dont worry lots of hotel there)
its is where the main attractions are located.

Hard Rock Caffe
Seafood Restaurant along the road
Beach and water activities
Cheap foods
Random Shops
very huge Big Shopping mall - JungCeylon
HIRE sports bike?? LOL

Night life was also great! (Opens every night till late)
Pingpong Show? and random Stripping shows?
Bar and nightclubs were everywhere!

Make sure that you goes to these places!! or be missing out on something.. seriously

All of these tickets can be buy and organized from your hotel. they will pick you and drop you off as well. so dont worry about transport.


SINGAPORE:

5 hours? you can take the taxi from budget terminal to city area in about 1 hour so you have about safely 2-3 hour of walking around and finding something to eat. but beware of travel time and traffic. you don't want to miss your next flight!

mind you this, it might take you 1 hour to go to main city but could be 2 hours to get back due to heavy traffic!

finally, Have fun :)

PS: if you are going to rent a motorcycle / scooter.. PLEASE wear helmet or they will get you lol!
