Its come up a few times in the past... personally I'd love to see it happen, especially seeing a 500+hp vk45 gtr/skyline amongst the pushrods :D
...but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Highly doubt they will come into Supercars
The idea has always been brought up every couple of years

would be great to see would definitely make for some interesting racing but as already said its come up afew times but never got through so doubt we will c it happen
It may come down to a nascar type thing though.
The chasis are funadmentally indentical - then they could smash aurion or maxima body panels on, and choose between the ford or holden powerplant and holinger box.
Id like to see it happen.

Under the current rules the toyo engine cant make enough hp to be competitive. This was looked into a few years back and they were not willing to change the rules in regards to rpm limits etc. Maybe if they allowed a 10k rpm limit but then again the old pushrods would be able to build there engines for higher rpm aswell.

*offtopic, MMM that guy in your Avatar other week gave him like 3 bucks dude shook my hand but had a smoke in his hand fuken burnt me!
LOL his a champ!
Maby they could have a 2nd tier championship with all the hot hatches from each manufacturer. It would be close racing and every car company could nearly enter. But i spose the big money for sponsorship etc is in the supercars.

Toyota have a pushrod V8 available that has been in motorsport for the past few years. Couldnt see it being a problem to engineer it to suit local rules. Both local manufacturers use identical gbox and diffs, so only a matter of adapting them to a chassis as TJ said. Would be nice to see another manufacturer getting amongst it

Holden and Ford both threaten to pull the pin when others try getting amongst it tho. Didnt Mitsubishi have a plan to get in a few years ago and the other 2 said they'd call it quits?

$$$ will probably talk and I can't imagine Holden or Ford have too many of those lately...
