as far as i know, the 5k is for refusing to name the driver. we don't refuse, we just don't know. director signs state dec say he doesn't know who was driving, which isn't untrue cos he doesn't.

you get a follow up letter with the 5k thing, send same lettter back with state dec attached again, then a fine turns up in the mail for double the money.

VERY luckily for him they said they couldn't be bothered arresting him on the spot, and booked him for 145. Cost him the tow to the impound yard, 7 days impound fees, $2000 in fines and court fees, 10 months without a license (had lost it before, but nothing during the 10yrs between losses), and a new pair of pants after having to face what he could only call "Judge Dread."

Around 4am on a 5km stretch of dead-straight hwy that I've travelled since a kid. No it doesn't make it right, but it's better than anywhere near suburbia, and the ONLY person I could possibly injure was myself and if I did then I would've deserved it... LOL....no jail time budd. But yeah uhm thanks for the advice guys was a help to see wats ahead.

To clear it up it wasnt in peak hour traffic it was on a road near my house that there was only like 2 cars on, and it had an overtaking lane just for those who thought it was like....the freeway or something??

And i only came on here to ask for peoples thoughts towards wat would happen although some people didnt understand that, but to those who did cheers.... Will let u know the outcome when it happens, unfortunatly i will pay the price but maybe wat punishment i get will just be a lesson to not only myself but others out there.
