itunes -converting videos

hey guys

just wondering what program people use to convert videos to
itunes format. Looking for one that is free to download iv tried a few but they never seem to work

Videora iPhone 3G converter or Handbrake
Some files can be converted by iTunes itself - right click and hit create iphone/ipod version. Otherwise use one of the programs above.

VisualHub works a dream for me, but I'm not sure if they make a PC version..

most of the videos Lenny converted contain small unconsious women

well i managed to get a video onto itunes successfuly and it playes fine on my girlfriends ipod which is a semi new nano, however it wont play on mine which is the older ipod video 30GB.

any ideas why this is so?

probably the resolution you converted them at, newer ones can play larger res then older ones.... I think

hmm ok can i change the resolution now its in itunes or have to convert it all over again at a smaller res?
