View Full Version : An Exhausting issue! - Stupidly loud..

Well, already the car has attracted too much of the wrong attention...

Ignoring the gate, shes riddiculously loud... (4" straight pipe)...
ATM it's looking like my only choice is to downgrade to a 3" system just to fit a muffler / cat under her... to make it remotely legal (still doubt it will get there)...

Anyone got any other options? as currently if i'm pulled over theres no arguing it, its just stupid... sounds awesome but its still stupid. :(

or just turn the car off as soon as ur pulled up, and hope they dont ask u to turn it on :P

varex muffler, flick the switch when you want it quiet.

Put a cat & a few mufflers in it.
I have a 4" TBE with cat & 2 mufflers that is relatively quiet. Been pulled up numerous times with no hassles

Couple of mufflers really only option, keep the 4" though.

magnaflow make 4" mufflers, which aren't stupidly large overall.

If you can fit one underneath, get a rectangular muffler and run the bore diagonally. That's what I had in mind to remove some of the bark.

Search on supra forums for Wogrocket, (I know him from when I worked in QLD with him, thats why I remembered his name) I know he has/had a 4 inch System, with a borla muffler (rest of pipework he made himself I think) and also knew of some 6 inch cats getting made up/going around. (Fetish may know the story better, I haven't spoken to Mick in ages) Thread found HERE (http://www.supraforums.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=35168)

Either way it is possible to quiet down a 4 inch system, just may not be cheap.

Winner! 4" in and out hot-dog spec exactly what i require... will see with just one put in... then if required will go down your option JME and run two...

Never ending pit has started haha!
