How long do you give someone before you lodge a complaint? I purchased an ipod on the 13/5/09 from a guy in Sydney, and haven't received any details or information about postage.
I sent a message last week asking for postage details and seller hasn't replied at all.
Sent another message today asking again an threatening to lodge complaints with ebay, go through paypal to get my money back and leave bad feedback if they don't respond.
How long should I be leaving it before I follow through with these actions?
Cheers

Was it sent via registered post to your knowledge?

No idea. Seller hasn't responded to either of my messages. That's more of my concern than Aus Post/whoever losing it. If they gave me a reference number, at least I can chase it up with the freight company, and I wouldn't be as fussed.
I just don't want the complaint time period to run out and me be left out of pocket without a leg to stand on.

I think you've done enough, making contact more than once without reply warrants a complaint IMO.
If they aren't available to contact within a 48 hr time period MAXIMUM they shouldn't be selling things online..
Don't play the nice guy and screw yourself over it.

Cheers. Only sent the second message with complaint threats today, so I'll start the process on Wedesay if I don't have a reply.

I've received stuff within two to three days off eBay from over east, but these have all been actual companies...still not over keen on buying from general users. Good luck with getting your shit dude.
Lodge the complaint immediately. If you complain through paypal i think they charge the sellers card until the dispute is rectified.
If you resolve it with the seller the dispute is withdrawn, if not the money is refunded to you.
Dont leave it any longer.

i think from memory you can lodge a complaint with ebay after 7 days once the payment has been made. unless there is details in the auction that it will take longer...

Lodge complaint.
People need to play by the rules, cvnts that cant be bothered to be curteous and reply promptly etc should be shut down.

It's 45 days from the day paypal cleared the payment. Currently i'm tracking some money back from a whore in the eastern states. I hope their bigpond email account belongs to them. And Kilma how did you pay? If you used echeque then it takes around a week for paypal to clear.

contact paypal they can tell you if your money has been withdrawn as they hold it for a certain amount of time...
they can withdraw the funds back when there is no contact or the seller is being a dick.

fuck the pingpingpingping, give them the same amount of time they expect you to pay after you win, so if they say 7 days to pay, fuck em if they cant deliver in 7 days:slap:
its not the dark ages, shit can be payed for in three days and then pingpingpingping can deliver in the same time back,
BUT paypal can be slow as fuck to take out the money and pass it on, check with them first:) , but don't delay for no one, you payed for it, so it should be on its way, no point sitting on your hands waiting for a mega masturbation marathon hoping some pingpingpingping will send your goods:lol:

ive never had major dramas with ebay, the only time i felt it was tkaing a while it had been nearly 3 weeks, the day i msgd him asking if he sent it, he said he had about a week ago, the after i got the msg the stuff rocked up.
a few years back when i ordered a bodykit for the wrx it took like 6 weeks to rock up, i had filed a complaint by this time and had to cancel it.

Just had a call from the housemate, and it was found sitting in front of the gate at home this morning. Cheers all for the quick feedback.
All could have been solved easily if the seller replied to the first message with a reference number or something.
Cheers again
