thought atlas copco had the contract for koolan? prob just the drill side though. things are sweet here in iron ore (i work for atlas outta newman) BHP are still expanding. new hub at whaleback should be finished soon and there is a new one going out near orebody 18. shitloads of work up here if u can get in. once your in with BHP up here your laughin. try skilled or workpac if your lookin for HD fitter work. maybe even HWE. they were advertising for fitters at yandi a couple of months ago.

What do you do up here dude?

I'm in Newman as well, at Whaleback(sometimes). I was dropping a transmission into a dumpy yesterday, and the westrac mechanic's(t/a's??) were a pair of africans with a skinny little white dude apprentice with them, and none of them had a clue. Had to hold their hands through the whole thing, I was just the rigger for the job, was pretty straight forward. There are still people around with job's who shouldnt have them.

would recommend gettin it done properly, ie a quill seal/mini combi or whatever, done from inside...cost you more than 20-30 bucks tho, more close to $40...v/w/z rated tyres meant to be done this way..

if want butcher job then bang a string plug in it like others suggest...

if nor river go see adrian at tyrepower in greenwood or his mrs at subi...

mini combi + new valve stem + balance = $30.

thats what our stores do them for anyway.. You are only ever meant to do mini combi on motorbike/car tyres that go over 30 km/hour.

we use strings for graders/earthmover and tractor type shit.

Yeh whatever you do dont get a dogshit plug. I've seen dodgey places put them in peoples tyres for like a cheap $15 cashie for there lunch and they are fucked.
I would do it for you if you could find me A. a tyre machine and B. die grinder C. mini combi and glue.

But its probably easier to goto that guy ^^^^^^ for $30 than spending $4000 on getting me tyre fitting machine :D
